Helping Hand Center is a nonprofit agency serving children and adults with developmental disabilities in the greater Chicagoland area since 1955. We offer a range of programs and services, including:

High School Teachers are now available to provide a positive experience for individuals looking to learn and develop their careers.

As a member of the High School Teachers team, you will be:

Position Summary: The employee reports to the Education Coordinator in accordance with stated policies and procedures.  The Teacher is a member of the School for Children with Autism.


Provide instruction and supervision for the students in the classroom.
Supervise the Instructional Teaching Assistants.
Write lesson plans.
Other duties assigned or required.

LBS1 endorsement and Educator endorsement for appropriate age group.
Experience working with children with Autism.
Experience with Basic ABA Teaching Skills.
