Caravel Autism Health is growing, servicing clients in the Chicagoland area and throughout Wisconsin.  Due to growth, we are looking for a Clinical Director & Lead BCBA in the southern Chicago suburbs.  This individual will be responsible for the initial start-up of the clinic, hiring the best and brightest clinicians to join the CAH team.  Caravel Autism Health is a leading provider of in-home therapy, utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) methods.  This is a full-time opportunity for those who have previous high-quality one-on-one ABA therapy experience. BCBA certification is required.  **Relocation may be available to the right candidate**

The Clinical Director & Lead BCBA markets our services within the communities we serve and ensures client’s needs are being met or exceeded.  This individual will be responsible for monitoring and assessing staff and clinic performance and creating plans to ensure clinic goals are met.  The Clinical Director & Lead Therapist ensures the consistent implementation and effective management of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.

Lead BCBA responsibilities include:  Assessing client needs and developing programs to meet those needs, conducting progress reviews, training and consulting with caregivers and clinical staff, providing guidance and oversight for client programming, conducting behavior assessments including VB-MAPP, ABLLS, and functional assessments/analyses, providing supervision in accordance with Board Guidelines and insurance requirements, and development and oversight of transition/discharge plans.

This position requires:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • At least five years’ ABA experience, utilizing applied behavior analysis and providing behavior services (functional assessment, behavior intervention plans (BIP), treatment evaluation, crisis intervention) to clients with autism.
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in a human services field
  • Leadership skills including:  positive attitude, integrity, accountability, ability to develop and motivate others, ability to foster teamwork, effective communication skills, and the ability to think strategically.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Natural ability to interact with children.
  • Strong client centered focus, with the desire to meet and exceed client expectations.

  • Must be adaptable and flexible.
  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to execute and achieve results.
  • Must display energy and creativity.

  • Clinical skills to include:
    Functional assessments and/or analysis
    Skill assessments
    Behavior plans and protocols
    Individualized goals and outcomes
    Writing and submitting reports to funding agencies and team members.
    Data analysis, progress measurement and treatment planning.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and abide by ethical guidelines and policies, including compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations.
  • Maintains professional boundaries with clients and their families, representing organization in a professional manner.
  • Must pass a thorough background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required.
